In order to evoid erroneous interpretation of the information concerning the inclusion of the Moldavian air operators in « the black list » of the European Community, we present to your attention a message received from the Air Safety Committee of the European Commission:
On the basis of measures undertaken by the Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Moldova, the Air Safety Committee has decided that there was no necessary to propose to the European Commission the inclusion of any carrier certified by the Republic of Moldova in the list of carriers which are subject to an operating ban within the Community.
The Air Safety Committee has just advised the European Commission to follow closely the safety situation of the carriers certified by the Republic of Moldova for the time being.
The formal decision of the European Commission, which will follow the opinion of the Air Safety Committee, will be adopted on July 4, 2007 for an entry into force on July 6, 2007. CAA will be officially informed on the final decision in due time.
At the same time, we would like to mention that there are 661 employees, who are working for the carriers which Air Operator Certificates have been revoked and 398 of them are foreign citizens that consists 61% of the employees.
