The Air Navigation Bureau of International Civil Aviation Organization / ICAO / supports the Civil Aviation Administration actions / CAA / regarding restrictions of operation areas of the aircrafts registered in the Republic of Moldova.
In accordance with Order No. 13/GEN dated 16 January 2007 operators, certified in the Republic of Moldova, which operate or intend to operate in the States, whose airspace is not effectively controlled by Civil Aviation Authorities of that state, in accordance with international rules and standards, or in the States where armed conflicts take place to be, as follows Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Yemen, Jammu and Kashmir, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Iran and Iraq must beforehand obtain an Authorization from the Civil Aviation Administration for the above mentioned areas of operation.
The Air Navigation Bureau of ICAO noted that the State of the Registry has the final oversight responsibility on the certificated of airworthiness and licences of the flight crew, it can certainly put some limitation on the operation of the airplane if it feels that the aircraft is being operated in an area of the world where, in its oversight, it cannot exercise effectively its oversight responsibility.
