Civil Aviation Administration of Republic of Moldova informs that on 09.01.2007, the aircraft An-26, registering nr. ER-26068, of the Air Company “AerianTur-M” has suffered an aeronautical incident, while executing the route Adana (Turkey) – Balad (Iraq).

There were 5 crewmembers on board, citizens of Republic of Moldova and about 30 passengers, fulfilling humanitarian missions in Iraq. At the moment American Air Forces carries out rescue operations. Additional information will be presented immediately after receiving the dates from the incident place. Currently the Republic of Moldova’s specialists examine the incident place and as soon as possible we will present more detailed information.
