On 14.09.2007 the aircraft Diamond DA42 has landed on the International Airport Chisinau. It was purchased by the Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Moldova (CAA).
CAA has made a manufacturing application of this aircraft in August, 2006. Diamond DA42 is made in Austria and has following specifications: two diesel engines, horsepower - 280 hp, max air speed - 300 km/hour, max operating altitude – 1800 km, fuel capacity - 30l/hour, cruise speed - 280 km/hour, it has four seats, radio navigating equipment of the latest generation. This aircraft represents an absolute quantum leap in tracking and sensor technology.
The aircraft will be passed to the State Enterprise „Centrul Aeronautic de Instruire” for training both - private and commercial pilots for Civil Aviation of the Republic of Moldova needs.
