On May 17-18, 2007 negotiations between the Civil Aviation Authorities of the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Moldova, with participation of designated companies – ”Air Moldova” and “Turkish Airlines”, were held in Chişinau, Moldova.
The Delegations have discussed the increase of frequencies of flights between the territories of Moldova and Turkey , co-ordination of common commercial policy, and the development of passengers traffic between their territories. As a result of these negotiations, Parties agreed the following:
- in the next 3 years it is forecasted to double the flights between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Turkey ;
- Î.S.C.A. ”Air Moldova” will be permitted to operate flights not only in Istanbul, but also to other points of destination situated in Turkey;
- the Republic of Turkey accepted to open all points of destination situated on its territory, at the same time Air Company “Turkish Airlines” will operate all airports from Republic of Moldova ;
- Turkish Company agreed to grand Moldovan company Special Prorates on flights from Turkey to eastern countries, in order to facilitate traveling there;
- Parties agreed to realize a policy of tariffs and a unique policy of agents commissions and other remuneration as well as navigation staff training, technical maintenances and aircraft operations;
The achieved results of bilateral consultations are in favor for Î.S.C.A. ”Air Moldova” in the Air Transport Market between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Turkey.
Turkish representatives confirmed their responsibility to support the Republic of Moldova in the development of experience exchange between Training Centres of pilots, as well as the assistance on transposing of modern model of airports operating, etc.
